MTV reported : Whatever your moment was, it’s fair to say the American appetite for electronic dance music surged in 2011, bringing “the rave” to radio and festivals, touching every U.S. city (big and small). MTV has celebrated 2011 and EDM by giving us it’s top 10 artists of the last 12 months. We’re happy to see Skrillex leading the charge, with deadmau5, Calvin Harris and Swedish House Mafia all firmly in their too. Amongst some pretty bad times, for this scene, it’s been a good year – no question. Calvin’s done it three times over this year ending with his collab with Rihanna, We Found Love, the Swedes took people from Miami 2 Ibiza and back again,… and as for the mau5… well he went and did this to Toronto.
